The Health Science program is for students interested in a variety of healthcare careers. Healthcare career opportunities, medical terminology, proper patient care, health and wellness, and legal and ethical issues are a few of the topics covered in Health Science courses. Additionally, qualified students can participate in the Health Science Internship or Nurse Aide Training program to gain practical work experience in a local healthcare facility. Certifications are available in First Aid and Child & Adult CPR. Qualified seniors in the program may also test to earn their Certified Nursing Assistant license.
